For the longest time, Minecraft has felt flat and not entertaining. I remember a point where I found actual joy and pleasure in loading up a survival world and seeing what my mind could accomplish, or wondering what the next 'big project' would be. This gives me a deep sadness knowing that the game will never be the same, that my life will never be the same. A large majority of the original demographic of Minecraft is long gone, and I doubt they will ever return. The 10 years since Minecraft released have led to the original players moving on with their lives and growing up to the point where playing games isn't really a possibility anymore.
I've been considering leaving the game and community behind for a long time to pursue other opportunities and possibilities.
In the end, I don't know if the time spent playing Minecraft was worthwhile or not, or if my mind is just giving me the illusion of joy and enjoyment due to nostalgia or something. I think I wanted an outlet back then, but that desire has long since faded. The game has long since changed. And the possibilities have long since dried up.
I'd like to thank all the people who have made my experience of Minecraft more enjoyable, and those who have gave me memories I don't think I can ever forget.
Goodbye, then.
