Hello there Minecraft Market. Recently I have been facing difficulty earning jobs on certain servers due to Owners or High Tier roles desiring proof. I never thought I would have to screenshot, or record, evidence of having a particular staff role, whereas now I see the importance of this question.
I would like to turn over a new leaf within the community. Whether this be to people who don't trust me due to a lack of evidence, simple misunderstandings or even people that state "I am blatantly lying". From this point forward, I will be recording all roles I recieve on any servers, and without further ado, here is my general application to any server owner interested.
About me:
• My name is Jack, a 15 year old male from the UK.
• My interests include art, designing, cycling, dogs and walking.
• I currently attend school, and I am targeting all A+ grades In GCSE. (11 subjects).
• I have played Minecraft since 2012, and have developed skills within these game modes; SkyBlock, Survival and of course Factions.
Skills Overview, & Topics That Shall be Discussed:
• Time Management
• Organisation
• Good work ethos
• Effective communication
• General good reputation
• Language skills
• Professionalism
The list of words and phrases above would be how I would describe my key assets (I shall talk more about them later on).
Time Schedule:
• Due to me being in my final year of GCSEs, Minecraft obviously comes 2nd.
- My schedule is as follows.
[Monday-Friday] [School] 1-2 Hours. (On a good day).
[Saturday-Sunday] [School Weekend] 2-3 Hours.
[Monday-Sunday] [Holidays] 2-4 Hours.
• I will try my best 24/7 to get online whenever possible, yet with the pressure mounting, school piling up, friends to meet etc. it will sometimes be challenging.
Organisation & Time Management:
• Many people have said, in real life, that I am one of the most organised people they know. You only have to see my desktop of my Mac to realise.
• I believe that one of the most effective working spaces is one of the most organised working spaces, vice versa.
• I have developed these key skills via two jobs.
- Working at a National Reserve, where I had to manage payments of customers in the arts and crafts section for hours straight.
- Working for my local restaurant, where I had to deal with multiple un-organised people, who had no time management based skills, so I re made all their folders, books, and labelled over 300 plastic boxes and trays for certain recipes. This may also show my determination to see a job through. I'm not an easy quitter.
• My brother and I sailed at the UK national championships for two years, earning respectable places in both courses. These small boats require heavy organisational skills, as the amount of ropes, sails and splashing water can be over-whelming for many people, and the last thing you want is to go over the edge.
My work ethos & positivity:
• If you would say that you're a positive, and all round happy person. I swear I am happier. My work ethos is one of many key skills I hold. I have a great ability of raising and keeping morale high within a team, and have shown this via the School, Minecraft and work environment.
• I am also a very positive person. I like to bring out the best In people. Everyone in a team has a purpose, so why not take advantage of the gift you've got?
Effective communication & Discord management:
• I would like to say my communication skills are superior to others, and I would thank my parents for this. Ever since a young age I was taught how to talk with all most anyone. I learnt very quickly how to be patient with people, to listen and not interrupt, to answer a phone politely, the list goes on.
• I have adapted these skills I learnt as a small child, and have taken them into modern ways of communication, including the platforms Discord, Skype, TeamSpeak3, Instagram and most other social media sites.
• I believe my skills in languages also develops this vital characteristic, as it allows me to talk and effectively deploy information to a range of people, no matter what country they come from.
- I speak fluent English, well communicative French, Spanish, and some German.
Professionalism & attitude within the working environment:
• I would consider any Minecraft related job just as important as any other. You've been hired for a reason!
• I don't like to see people dis regard any game related jobs, which shows my respect for server owners, as I understand their job is stressful and difficult at times.
Past experience & my guarantee:
• Even though I have no proof of obtaining these roles, I would like to think people would have some faith in me after reading this information about myself, and my thoughts about the MC related work place.
• I have been low tier staff on multiple servers including SkyParadise, owned by BondPlays, who sold it to MattHD. I can get their contacts. I have worked on Farenway Survival as a Helper, and thoroughly enjoyed my time playing there. I can also get the contact link for the owner. I was a Helper on Zalbus Network, Earthlord PvP, where I developed a lot of my staffing skills, I was being promoted to Mentor, yet I decided to leave, due to opening my own server, which failed as a result of the hosting provider ending. I have been a moderator on WhitePictures community, owned by the YTer himself, and previously managed his staff team. I have been a Manager on the Castaway Network, and I believe the forum page is still actively used.
• My guarantee to server owners and high tier staff is that I will be committed, willing and able at most times. I will strive to become a great staff member on your server, and I hope to talk to you all at some point.
