Okay, you're new to the community, and so am I currently. I've had experience writing for high reputation holders, and I still charge $0 for my work. If I were you, do some vouch copies, or try and get work for a user with a good reputation who can vouch for you. At that point, then try and charge small fees for your work, even $1 or $2.

I agree with this, people don't know too much about your skill.
