Essentially, the job entails decompiling a client, changes to said client are not required we would only need the source code.

This would be a high paid job as we believe it could be very difficult however the duration and extent we are unsure of.

Why do you want to de-obfuscate a code? I look for a reason for that, because if he's obfuscated he has a reason.

I do believe this is illegal unless you have EXPLICIT proof from the client owner. In this case, however, you'd typically have the source code.
