**Java Help**​

Hello, I want to learn Java and create custom plugins for my server and for the public however I don't know where to learn Java nor how. So I was wondering if any of you guys can give me YouTube tutorial videos of how to learn Java and make custom plugins. Also if you can could one of you guys teach me like become my teacher. Also do I need to know Java to make good custom minecraft plugins or is it something else? If you could be able to teach me privately please add me on Skype thanks.​

Don't try to learn Java before Bukkit, it'll screw you over in the end. Please learn more than just the basics of Java before heading into Bukkit. Remember that Bukkit is a Java library. If you don't know the language then you won't know how to create well-written plugins. Also most Bukkit tutorials out there are not that great, so YouTube isn't a good way to learn. If you really want to learn then prove it by sitting down and reading from the official tutorials linked above.

What do you mean and can you teach me? Since your experienced all I head is that you need to know Java to make plugins.

If you do not know Java at all, then you should get your mind out of Bukkit plugins immediately. In order to create plugin you must have knowledge of how to use, read, and implement an API, and that is kind of hard if you don't even know the primitive types of Java. My suggestion is to follow thenewboston for until he gets to GUI development, although that stuff is pretty cool too, but you don't need it that much.
