Hello,
I'm requesting to join a team full of web developers to learn more and practice. I don't know how to do PHP, JS. I only know HTML and CSS and would like to improve on those 2 as well as learn PHP and JS. I'm hoping to gain experience and observe how the web developers code and their techniques. I'm hoping to be a web developer when I'm older, but currently I'm needing to practice and today I've decided to dedicate my time into improving. I'm hoping I can make websites for clients.
Information:
I'm 16, and live in the East Coast and so my timezone is EST (GMT -5). I've started learning web development around when I was 11, but went hiatus mode until 5 years later.. Although I've been going hiatus mode randomly through out the years and right now I want to actually put my effort into trying.
I use Sublime and sometimes Notepad++, although I prefer Sublime because I feel that it's convenient and easier with all the shortcuts rather than Notepad++, I have to type everything out. Another thing is that for Notepad++, I have to retype the codes when I mess up somewhere in the middle which gets quite annoying.
I've attempted to learn Java, but it just seemed too complicated for me while HTML, I learned in an hour or so on the basics. I'm currently trying to learn more about Bootstrap and practicing on how to use the columns/rows properly. I'm currently learning from random YouTube videos and just copying the code into the Sublime to make an effort on learning what it all means and how it works.
Pros:
- I'm a fast learner.
- I make an effort and try to fit in as much time as I can to learn.
- When I want to learn something, then I put as much dedication as I can.
Cons:
- I have to take tons of notes and store them some where safe with an attempt to not lose them because I have bad memory although I'm trying to improve.
- I went on hiatus mode which means I've forgotten a little bit of things, but I quickly regain all the knowledge back.
- I never had a tutor and so I'll probably be confused or confusing.
Thanks for taking your time on reading this and I hope to find someone that will help me out! I prefer to work with 1 person, but I can join a team and gain experience from each member while making an attempt to actually make a website. My main goal is to create 1 website, a decent website at least. My next goal is to create many websites!
Thanks,
Faker
