If you're trying to make an actual "good" faction server, you need a lot more than $500. But it is a start, if you're doing this alone and only you having money in and it only being $500. I mean if you want custom plugins that devs has to develop it will cost a lot etc. Advertising alone costs a lot, depending on which way you advertise.

Most factions servers has $1000-$3000 ftop prices, or when i played. This dude can get a decent server with $500 yeah. Tell me how he can manage to keep a 200 playerbase by having nothing interesting. Ostia and Vanity did really good cause they paid out a lot.

That's the problem with all of you server owners... All you care about is making money and making sh*t servers like HCF.... on top of that payouts are the the worst way to go... Most servers say they will do "payouts" and never do. It's all 1 big scam. Servers that do payouts normally make it so that you can only cash your prize in by buying keys ranks etc on their buycraft store. But let's ignore everything I just said. Let's pretend your a random person wanting to make a HCF server for money. How do you start? You find a crappy spartan logo or have someone make one for $10. Make a name like SpartanMC download a core off the internet, download a random hcf map. Use free or leaked plugins, make a server within 2 days and then make a discord with cash prizes for inviting their friends. Then after you have a discord packed with over 1000 random people you forget about paying the people that advertised the discord for you because your goal is to make money not lose money. Then you get a sh1t server trailer made and post it on the discord, and inside the trailer at the end you announce that you are doing payouts with Ftop1= $1500, Ftop2= $1000 and Ftop3=$500. Then players join and you have a packed server with people donating all their money to your sh1t 2 day server build.


These servers die incredibly fast.... What you need to do to have a stable player base from 100-200+ is make something completely different and original. If Meflenxx needs help with ideas or setting up his server I would gladly help him for free just to prove how easy it is to make a server with a low budget, with a high player base.

It's rather unlikely to get a successful server without a good budget. $500 should be enough to start out with but as your server slowly grows you'll realize you'll need to invest more. $500 is definitely a good place to start

Sounds like you might be one of the server owners I just described... Sorry if I hurt your feelings I have 6 years of server making experience. A team of 8 People, 6 Builders, 1 Plugin dev and 1 website dev. I pay them all up front and they work for me. We are a server building team nothing more nothing less. But I respect your point of view although it's not very fair for you to say "I'm pretty sure all these server owners on here know way more than you do." Considering you don't know anything about me... Well just a thought, had a good one!

Figuring how you're only a member, have 0 rep and how immature you've handled this I find it very hard to believe you're as experienced as you say. The reason most people only care about making money and making "shitty servers" on here is because this is a MARKET. The main reason people are on here is to make and spend money. The reason I have 0 rep is because I don't spend much time on this website at all This website is more scammers then anything.... Sorry if I struck a nerve by judging your methods of making money... Don't listen to this guy, his server peaks at 2 and literally stole another network for his own profit. Now he's selling it and refusing to refund the people that donated to it. zZzZz
