Just a quick question!

So I own a server and it is almost complete, I just need a domain, and I got one in mind.

But the question is: How do I change an IP from 435.4355.435:4556 to play.example.com
(I am new to this and I want to gain some experience by owning a server)

I am not hosting it on my own ip.
But I don't think this will work because this was like 2 years ago, and of course some stuff changed

1. If your using a host you should point your (play.serverdomain.com) - if you dont have one you will need to buy one
2. To the IP your host gave you using a A record

I would see if your hosting company (if your not home hosting) Can set it up for you.
