Just a small reminder that calling yourself a professional, or an entrepreneur, or something as equally retarded does not make you one, it makes you a wannabe.

Also, you cant just call yourself certified, you have to actually be certified, otherwise you are lying/scamming your clients, manipulating them to give you money.

Also, just allow me to say that unless you have ton of vouches or a portfolio, your self assigned names mean jack shit.

Just a small friendly reminder.

Being a professional merely means you are paid to do what you do. So technically, you are a professional if you are payed

That's only part of it. To be a professional you have to actually know what you are doing, which most people here don't. Which is why most freelancers/teams fail and those that know there stuff rise above it all and dominate this market.[DOUBLEPOST=1591243024][/DOUBLEPOST]
Yes, but I can guarantee you that at least 90% of the businesses here aren't even legally deployed, or pay any of the required fees and taxes, nor do they even have the proper license. So yea, people don't meet the criteria here at all. (this is more targeted towards teams, as freelancing usually is just a hustle to make some side money)

As a 16 year old illustrator and graphic design freelancer, I agree. People should not be calling themselves professionals unless they've studied their field for a long time. I've been making money on the side and building a portfolio for the future but I'd never call myself a "professional" at what I do; I think "experienced" is a better term. I like reading what the self-proclaimed "professionals" have to say on this forum.
Looking at the thousands of "professional server managers" here

Agreed. I've been drawing for 5 years now, and I feel like i'm pretty expirenced, and can hold up a conversation about drawing. I am also certified in frontend web development, soon to be in CISCO Networking. I wouldn't call myself a professional at any of those things.
