yeah, turning on 2FA is a very major tip. Ive had mine on an email 2FA for well over a year now, never had any trouble. Mostly because im not using a generic low-security email. And because im using a password manager, which is the other major tip. It allows you to randomly generate a password for each site, and it will automatically fill it in. All you need is a single master password that is located on your local PC. Meaning that the only way they're getting to you is to infiltrate your very PC. And if you keep the password outside of that PC (say, on a piece of paper in a bit of code), they'd need to break into your house to get in (ofc this does not apply in a workplace or public place, where you should never have passwords written down). A password manager can even protect you against a keylogging infection.
