Know when somebody removes rep

I think there should be an Alert when somebody removes Reputation on you, or one of your reputations gets reported and then removed, It's very annoying to wake up and have less rep and then not know why or who removed it.

What's the benefit of this? If this was implemented and someone removed their rep, what would you do? Would you message them trying to get it back, neg repping them if they didn't? (not accusing, just trying to get a better understanding of why you want this implemented )

Yes, I read the entire thread, but how would knowing why they did it change anything or who it was??

It just feels stupid when you see your rep going down and you don't know who or why it was removed, Like wouldn't you want to know maybe if somebody was mad at you? or if you made a mistake and they removed a plus rep on you, you'd want to know what you did. You feel me?

Lol? Its just nice to know whenever someone removes it an who removed it. There shouldn't be an explenation imo, its just simple. If he removed it false, you could and contact him/her.

This system could easily be abused. People already have fear of being neg repped just for neg repping someone or when they're being informative on posts. Why add another reason for people to fear being neg repped bc they removed their positive rep? Not everyone on here is rational and I already know a few who would cause so much drama over losing positive rep.

I think the cons outweighs the pros.

How could somebody abuse what I have suggested?

Neg rep people for removing their positive reputation. I already know a few who would do this. The reputation system is already messed up as is and allowing people to know when and who removed their positive rep is not going to help MCM, it's just going to make the reputation even worse.

Eh I mean people could do that now if they wanted to, My suggestion just makes it a little bit easier.

I'm not 100% sure about alerting users when other people remove rep from them, but I absolutely agree with being alerted whenever staff members remove reputation from you, and a better backend for the reputation moderation system is planned for the future to make this easier for staff members.

That's what I'd intend this purpose for, so you know which people got their rep removed from you and what was their message.

It could maybe solve issues where you've done a legit deal with the user but he didn't specify it correctly in the rep and ends up getting removed

Every time a reputation is removed by a staff member, they alert the users now so that part was good, but I don't think that we should alert users when others remove their reps from them because that will just create more drama than is necessary.

Maybe after we change the reputation system, if you still think that it is important you can recreate this suggestion and I'll reconsider but it's not planned for the next update.
