However, this is an English forum and I believe it should stay an English forum.
Communication is among the most important aspects of doing business, and given that this is a platform for business before anything else, I believe it prevents a lot more potential communication issues by enforcing that everyone use the most common and widely used language when making public posts.
Other languages can always be used in private when agreed to.
If there are people not willing to attempt to communicate with the language that 99% of the forum communicates with, then it may be harsh to say so, but as far as I'm concerned, them deciding to go elsewhere is one less liability for a potential scam report as two people who struggle to understand each other attempt to deal over our platform and have important miscommunications.
If you're willing to read it, here's a little metaphor:
Consider a school of children where nearly all of them only speak English. The teachers are going to need to speak English in order to communicate with those students. If the teachers don't speak English, it's going to cause issues and the students are going to suffer because of it.
It would be much more reasonable and much more beneficial to everyone if we focused the need to compensate for the language barrier on just the person that doesn't speak English rather than the rest of the community.
It may not be fair, but it is more reasonable, and it keeps MC-Market a place where the majority of people are capable of joining and understanding the content we host.
