Hello MCM,
I am seeking to purchase a laptop of any brand that is under 1.5k preferred under 1k. I will be using this for school purposes but it should be able to handle games but don't need too. Any suggestion of what good laptop to purchase?

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I am finding laptops ....

Asus vivobook, it has the looks of a macbook but it rocks a 1060 & i7
Alright I will take it into consideration, thanks for the suggestion

If you'd prefer Windows over MacOS (despite the fact that you'll be far more productive with MacOS), I'd recommend the Dell XPS 15.

Also, the baseline MacBook Pro starts at around $1,300.

Dell XPS 15
Interesting, thanks for the suggestion. I will search it up! :)

I would personally go for Lenovo Think-pad or the Surface.
Ya, my friends are saying the same thing but It is hard to find them in-store in AUS like a specific type.

I also live in Australia and Think-pads are no-where to be found here facepalm, then you should go for surface pro 6 I have one and have been using it for my university and it does the job. You can't really run anything more then csgo though.
Thanks for the suggestion, I have looked into it :)

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 720s. It's both good for school work and has the ability to play games if you want. Although mine is the top tier one which was 1700 with student discount so you might wanna go for the lower tiers. Same graphics cards just different cpu
