Okay, so my laptop has been broken for a while now.
I have no clue what's wrong with it, my mom forgot after we took it to a repair store and they gave us a quote on how much it would cost, but they overcharged, so I don't even know anymore since that was like a year ago kek.

Anyways, I need help on how to fix it, or at least to know what is wrong, and how much it will cost to fix it.

Startup:
On startup, it goes to the screen that has the ASUS logo (it's an asus), and then near the bottom it says "Preparing Automatic Repair"
After that, it just goes to a black screen.
C a l l u m said it was off, but no, it isn't off.
It is literally a black screen right now.

Takes forever to start up as well.
You might be saying, "oh it just might be a bad CPU"
Well. It's an Intel i7, so I wouldn't say it's bad ;-;.

That's all I have for now, I'll update the thread once it's actually turned on...
or at least if it does turn on. .-.

Thanks,

A mobo can still post if it is dying, it just may be unstable (Not work most of the time). Which seems to be his case, but a windows boot file could be corrupted as well, it is possible.
The chances of it dying are very slim, especially considering it's not super old.

EDIT: The fact that the OP also stated that it tried going into startup repair also hints that.
