Greetings!
Ahh yes, the obligatory introduction...

Before I begin, I realise that someone with no vouches/posts/ratings/what-have-you is generally less trusted on this site, and that may reduce the number of people who want to do business with us. Thus, I want to cast any doubts aside. We're an established server founded in late 2012 dedicated to re-creating a fantasy world called Alagaesia from The Inheritance Cycle in Minecraft. Apparently I can't post links until I have 3 posts, so if you want to learn more about us, just google "MCAlagaesia". :)

Anyway, without further ado, I'll jump right into what we're looking for.

The Job
Basically, the reason this post exists.

We're interested in working with a developer to create the mechanics for our game, MCAlagaesia.

Plugin Features
Don't hold your breath, it's a long list!

I'd like to mention that I designed these features with my own rather limited developing skills in mind. If I thought they were achievable with my own skillset, I bet some of the developing whizzes on MC-Market will be looking for things to add.
The loot system spawns items in chests based on loot tables. There are a number of types of chests, such as food chests, civilian chests and military chests.
Not actually as complicated as it sounds. For example, with some spells all you really need to do is apply a bunch of potion effects for a certain amount of time. We've completely worked out a viable method of casting spells as well.
The thirst feature adds more realism. Drinking water, potions and milk as well as eating watermelon should restore some hydration. A possible extension of this feature is to create some regions so that taking water from the sea gives salt water rather than fresh water, just to add a bit more of a challenge.
Really basic stuff like redstone block breaking particles when a player is hit (simulates blood).
A basic grappling hook system.
A basic healing system using paper as bandages.
A bit like a "Mimic" chest - it steals whatever item you're holding, but might give it back when you offer it some gold.
Just a couple small AI tweaks to make existing mobs behave more like the creatures from the Inheritance Cycle.
This sounds like a daunting task, and I won't lie, I personally had no idea how I was going to code it. This is the reason why we need a skilled developer (such as yourself!) working with us.

Now a lot of these features aren't actually as complicated as they sound. We can discuss what each one entails if you're interested in the job. In fact, we've actually already coded some of these features for older versions of Minecraft, which should give you an excellent kick-start. We're committed to working with you on this project and will make sure that you're not overwhelmed by the workload.

Other Stuff
Things that didn't really fit under any other heading...

Time Frame: We don't have a restricting time frame for the development of this plugin. The MCAlagaesia map is around 70% complete, which gives us more than enough time to create something amazing. A conservative estimate would be around 150-200 days.

Coding Style: That's all up to you! Personally I'd like everything in one plugin with different features separated neatly into different classes, but that might just be my wishful thinking. If you want to create each feature as a smaller separate plugin, that's perfectly fine too! The only thing I won't have is everything in the same class.

Payment
Now this is what everyone was looking forward to!

Obviously this is quite a large plugin, but for that, you can expect to be well paid. We have a general idea of the budget which we can discuss via PM or skype if you wish.

In addition to the monetary reward, you will receive the developer rank and all associated perks on our server network. I know nobody really likes working for a rank, but I still think it's a nice way to recognise your efforts, even if you never join the server again after finishing the plugin! :)

I'm also interested to know what you would expect to be paid for this amount of work, even if you're not going to take the job. I believe this will help ensure that I don't rip anyone off, and of course to ensure that I'm not overpaying anyone and ripping myself off.

Questions, Comments and Concerns
I'm new here, so there might be something I missed...
If that's the case, let me know! I'll answer any and all questions put to me. Unless, of course, they have nothing to do with the project.

Thank you for reading! Hopefully there wasn't too much waffle... I tried to add all the information required and still keep it interesting, so it might not flow too well...
