Hey guys. A lot of you know me round here and this is just a request to see who is interested, some people might find this bat shit crazy, if so, tell me that I am, I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in this offer.
So.
I realize that a lot of large server owners eventually become disengaged with their server and end up wanting to sell it, the issue is that not many people are actually interested in buying large servers because they don't have the budget. This usually ends with the person just shutting the server down. Instead of this I'm looking to stop it from closing down, and instead try and make it grow even more.
I'm looking for a fairly large server to take over both the development side and the management side full time. This means I would no longer be taking comissions, but always programming for the server.
This would mean we would pull a Ajdin and Mick on the players and that I would be the new "owner"
. I would take 83% of profits. In return I would code for the server full time and really try to make it something unique and fun to play, this would also come with me expanding the server and trying to make it grow by adding fully custom features and addons to whatever gamemode the server is currently based on.
This would mean.
> Getting full access to all the server files and website(s), along with console.
> Adding new custom plugins that would in turn attract more players.
> Managing everything from advertisement to configuration and community management
> All this while you do absolutely nothing and continue on getting revenue.
Why am I doing this?
I've been looking to start a server for a while, however my recent plans didn't fall through and now the idea has been stopped.
So instead of me investing the money into starting up a new server that might not actually end up gaining popularity (there's always that risk), I can take an already existing player base and make it continue to grow.
Requirements
I'm only looking for larger servers, (i.e those that make $800+) a month. And that the server's gamemode isn't currently restricted in adding new features.
I have no idea whether or not anyone would be interested but I run the (second) biggest development shop on the site and figured that now would be the time to make use of the reputation I have gained around here over the past year or so and try really make something noticeable.
