Large size 3D banner on a server list website.

I was wondering how I would get a banner for my server to be put onto a server list website, it is 1.7Mb but I have been able to get it to 900Kb so is there some secret method to reducing the size drastically or what exactly. Because on some sites for example Planetminecraft the max size is 350kb.
