Learning Java - Any Helpful Tips or Info?

I am currently interested in learning Java. Mainly to code plugins. I have already setup Eclipse and I am looking for helpful advice or hints on where I should start. Let me know what you have found helpful or how you started. Anything will help!

Learn off the official tutorials. Don't think you can do everything straight away. Do NOTlearn Bukkit/Spigot before or during the learning of Java. Only learn AFTER you have fully learnt Java.
