Less chat staff + ticket staff

Can staff add a yes/no poll please?

In 24 hours, 7 new staff were hired. This greatly increases the amount of staff members, since most other positions have 2-3 people in them.

I, like many others, am fine with the idea of having two chat moderators, but 7 is way too many. Since they have already been hired (and it'd be almost as wrong as K3Feedz demotion to fire them now), the right thing to do here would be to rearrange the staff team. I suggest talking with all current chat moderators and finding one to move to moderator and two to move to scam report staff, while keeping three chat moderators.

The final part of this suggestion is adding Support Staff (read kitcat's suggestion for more info) and moving one current chat moderator to this position, as well as hiring one or two more for this position.

This should balance out the staff team (not having half of staff be chat mods, and allowing shoutbox to be more relaxed), while also relieving the stress on BeBos and rocket to answer tickets.

Chat mods only have power in the shout box, and it is not like they are on there 24/7. Even 10 of them would be fine. There has been a lot of rule breaking in the sb recently and drama as well. It is good to have it well monitored

I feel like shoutbox rules should be taken a little more lightly. A few moderators wouldn't hurt anything, but 10 is way too many - considering 5 would be a lot.

It is aleady light, trust me.

Well yes, it's lighter, but 7 moderators enforcing rules at the same time is a lot, the shoutbox moderating is way different than your forum moderating. Everyone sees everything, and I'm guessing there's at least 2 in shoutbox at once.

The moderators have so much to deal with as it is. It was quite simply an easy decision to bring in chat moderators. It reduces the load on full moderators plus it's a good entry for chat moderators to gain an insight into staff.

This whole chat moderation thing is new and the chat moderators are just getting settled in. Nobody has even given it a chance. A chat moderator comes in and starts issuing warnings and everyone freaks out about there being chat moderators (the fact they even exist or that there are too many, it doesn't matter). Give it a reasonable chance first and actually let it play out instead of just saying it's too much on day one.

Alright, I'll give it a few days/weeks and see how people feel feel about it then, I may bump this then depending on that.

The shoutbox is a joke and the shoutbox staff are incompetent. I do not think that it's over staffed, I think it's poorly staffed. You couldn't choose worse people to bring in for the job.

Ticket support staff is the biggest joke of a thing I've heard here. You are NOT some kind of company selling products. I thought the system was for centralised issues rather than PMs, not some twisted system.

I don't know you, specifically, but some of the names up there I've seen post around and they're pretty ignorant. Not who you want moderating anything, in fact.
