Introduction
Lethean Network is a project I have been working on over the past year. With a combination of work and school, it was created as a mere hobby and a factor of enjoyment within my free time. Recently these past few months I have returned to this project to make sure justice is done to the community that supported the idea and of course my bank account... I have been creating servers for over a decade whether that was in the context of managerial standpoint or as a part of a creative team ranging from music to graphic design, and most importantly plugins for these ever-changing yearly Minecraft updates. Although I had a bit of help with making this current server as beautiful as it could be, most of the server has been completed by my hands only. I have always had a mindset that completing projects did not require multiple brains and hands however in my field of work that isn't always the case.
Position Request
Lethean Network is not looking for "skilled IT System Managers" or "Professional Community Managers" cause, let's be practical, most of them beef up their profiles to look like more but in the long run, get banned here a year later for scamming. I am interested in those that aren't in it for the numbers of a paycheck but have genuine ambition and enjoyment of working on a Minecraft Server (even in the case of mere moderators).
Initiative
This community has grown rotten and sour, and to say that alone is an understatement. Servers used to be community-driven and slightly enforced through microtransactions, now this is simply not the case. Servers compete in a gambling addiction-fueled rage while not properly focusing on what the community direly wants from game modes like Factions, Skyblock, etc. I mean look at Skyblock alone, they went from enjoying the aspect of building something from nothing to searching server to server donating 50$ at a chance to win a cash payout of 200$ WEEKLY. I am in no position to have the social credit to deny the average server owners drive to make money, I alone would like to take back what I spent, but Lethean Network was founded on this change, the change to make these game modes not just have the drive of what they used to be fueled by, but bring new changes that drive players back in.
Are you Qualified?
Admittedly I am not the easiest person to work with, but I understand the circumstances and history of players and the servers that they enjoyed. I would prefer a large community of moderators over the second set of hands working on plugins, builds, etc. These servers or "businesses" are fueled by money and don't fully comprehend the importance of even their lowest-ranked staff members. I don't need your credit history, your education, current job, skill in development, servers you worked for. I want you to reach out and tell me what your first server was, and what made it fun. That's the beginning of a server, not "experience in the field". I am not making this server to be popular, I simply want to enjoy that nostalgic feel that has been completely stripped from current servers and developmental mindsets. If you are confident in your portfolio and feel that drive of ambition I won't turn down your interest in a position on our staff team. Even if a server is small, it is as only as strong as its player's dedication, NOT ONLY the staff's.
