Limit Resources For New Members.

As the title says, Personally I would like a way to limit my resources so only users with a certain time period or rep amount could purchase. This would help prevent charge-backs from throwaway accounts and so on. My only charge-backs I've had where from brand new accounts who recently joined. I would like to see the options listed below. This could also allow for some limited resources or sales for only premium accounts and so on.

• 1-3 months joined
• Premium or supreme
• Limited to reputation

I don't know if this is even possible but it could at least help with some of the problems and leaks I've experienced with the resource system.

This would be fully optional and you would still be able to leave your resources as is and allow anyone to access them.

If there's an option to turn this off, I don't see why not.
I personally will never be using this, as more than half of my sales come from new members, who joined just to purchase this.

I haven't had too many chargebacks yet, so I would never use it either. Im not sure how plausible it is to implement, considering it might need custom development for the resource plugin.

You mostly use sellfy right?
People don't really want to chargeback from sellfy.

As for the "Limit User Download", it doesn't hurt to have it, actually it may be good idea to implement although it can be "two edged blade".
I don't know if i would be personally using it, but if you consider that most of the leaks are form "Setups" & "Plugins", which takes a lot time to work on, this might discourage leakers and encourage more account upgrades (which of course is not the main goal for this option).
I think tho, that the only applicable option for site like mcm would be the "Premium or Supreme". Adding this to reputation will drastically worsen the issue with "fake rep" & "rep for rep".We already know that many users, mostly referring to new accounts are using rep as a trade coin, and we don't want to encourage that. And if user has to wait a range from 1 to 3 months, idk i think that this just sucks. If i was a new member that had to wait for so long, i would most likely be very angry about it to say the least.
Overall its not a bad idea, many sites use it actually, i don't see why McM can't use it. When i think about it, i'm even surprised why is still not implemented. Take for example "XenForo's" site, they have it of course under other conditions but it serves the same purpose, to prevent or atleast limit the leaks. If you go now to [Censored] and check the leaks you will see that #2 source for their leaks has become McM...
So yeah i'm in for that, implement it! I don't think that will harm the McM community.

I am not really sure, but I think it has to with the fact that sellfy is a big company and it could mean big trouble if you mess with them. While MCM, is too small.
I moved over to sellfy and I have noticed MUCH MUCH fewer chargebacks.

It's because payments on Sellfy, go through Sellfy, then to you. Chargebacks result in your PayPal being banned from purchasing on Sellfy (pretty sure)

I did a bit of search and i think that they have a blacklist that they use. Based like on rocketr.net , which i think is much more reliable and flexible than Sellfy. I think i will try them out.

I have had 4 chargebacks from sellfy, in fact, and only 2 from MCM.

Anyway, thanks for the info about that new digital shop thing, ive been looking for an alternative to sellfy since sellfy removed their free account and started asking $9 per month for it (I dont pay, but I still dislike sellfy now).
