Basically, in your settings you can set which country you want to limit logins to. i.e
If I set it up to UK, then I can only log into my account if the IP is from the UK and if I try logging in from Spain, it will reject me.

It's just another layer of security that can be built on.

As long as it's possible to set this to 'worldwide' still, not a problem.

What about if I'm on holiday?
Then you disable the feature or change it to the country you will be on holiday in?

Cant you have a private vpn server on your own dedicated machine?

Private proxies or something?
It's fairly easy to detect proxies, even if they are private. MCM does a good job at blocking them.

Yep, I really like this, however with the introduction of 2FA via services like Google Authenticator or Authy it is just another thing to have to worry about. Unfortunately, I can't support this suggestion due to the fact that we have 2FA, if we didn't it would be a different kettle of fish.

I know, but this would be moving into the bounds of over-protective parent who doesn't let their kid even go to the local shop...
I see where you are coming from, but my opinion is still the same

I like the idea but, What's so hard about not downloading rats and making your passwords complex ?

I would suggest making it optional unlike the fucking 2 step verification bs. I'm traveling rn, so my ip is legit all over the fucking place. This would just be a pain in the ass for anyone that travels if it HAD to implemented. Maybe as an optional feature per user but not something that has to be done.

I disagree on this one.

If I go on vacation for a couple weeks to a different country or if I move, I don't want to have to tell the admins to change my country. Maybe I don't want them knowing my country.

You can disable the features and your IP is already logged, so it doesn't make a difference.
This hasn't been implemented so it cant really be disabled. He could be using a vpn or masking his real ip some other way. For example if your default browser is Tor (idk why tf it would be) your ip can change constantly if this option was not disable-able and forced like 2 step verification, it would be a pain in the ass to deal with.

This Suggestion is useless, unless if we can turn it off
