Having to upload a file for the reputation system is tedious and discourages people from adding a reputation. The majority of the community uses gyazo, Imgur, or some other image capture device that saves the images as links. If you create an option to input links as a form of evidence then the evidence uploading process would be much easier for some users. I personally have to save each gyazo image to my computer to upload it to your system. I have over 20 1290398i30921u50921.png random png that I have to go through and delete because of it.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I support this. It happens too often that I leave a rep for someone and then they never rep back. I can only assume because of how tedious the reputation system is. I don't mind it that much, but I can see how others would. I think this feature would help with that issue.

This makes sense to me, and seems like it would streamline the entire process. Despite NOT being someone who uses these services (I find it easier to take local screenshots), I've run into the frustration of having to download an image for other things (changing a profile picture, for example). There are two arguments I can think of against this, however:

1. It's too difficult to implement.
2. It's better for proof to be hosted on MCM instead of some other service.

For the second point, if you embed an image in a post, I believe it's hosted on MCM's servers anyway, so I don't think that would be too big of an issue. It's mainly the first that concerns me. If it's not too difficult to implement, then yes, I'd absolutely love to see this added.

I’ve suggested this in the past actually, that MCM would grab the image at the end of the link and convert it into an attachment automatically. I’d also like if attachments on feedback were easier to look through, such as having a album preview and scroll function, instead of forcing the viewer to click through a bunch of different files in order to see their contents in a readable format.

Like how Imgur embed's their albums? Yeah, I think that would work pretty well. I actually feel this is a much bigger aggravation and time waster than what this suggestion's about.

that would be very helpful and would make the reputation system easier to use.

Back about a year ago we introduced some pretty radical changes to the way that we handle reputation. We made all reputation left by banned members be marked as uncounted in your reputation totals and disabled the reporting functionality to reduce abuse and targeted. The changes that we made were certainly controversial at the time, but looking back I'm a firm believer that the changes we made back then were the best that we could have made.

Our reputation system is very far from being perfect in its current state, and we fully recognise that. Since it's introduction we've changed many policies and spent countless hours developing new custom systems, such as disputing feedback.

At the moment we aren't planning to do any more development for our site until we can migrate to XF2. We're also not going to be making any changes to our policies surrounding reputation. Our system is stable at the moment, and making a change now when we're going to be redeveloping everything shortly isn't beneficial. Perhaps once we move to XF2 and have fixed all the bugs that come with that and have more time for some new development and to consider the impact that instituting new policies will result in.

Until then, I'll move this to denied. Once we migrate to XF2 if you feel that this is still relevant please create a new suggestion thread and we can look into it once again. Thank you to everyone for your support and criticism of our systems, it is definitely the best way for us to improve.

Thank you,
