Hello,

I'm looking for a web developer that is capable of handling the front-end and back-end aspects of a project I've been working on.

The image I have inserted above is a rough mockup I've thrown together of the Paper Car Show Directory.

This project is an easy to use show directory for the area my local area.

Along the top you'll notice two buttons on either side of the website title, these will both be static links, which you can either make editable through the admin panel, or I can just edit them in the .html file.

Below that you'll notice a sort of table. This is the main content of the website. This table will pull data from a database to display. This data will be entered into the database via the admin panel. The table will have different pages
which you can see navigation for at the bottom. The table will display 8 entries per page. You'll notice the shows are dated. The table will display shows in order from nearest to furthest out in terms of date. Once a show has passed it should be cleared from both the table and database.

On the left you'll see a side bar.

Included in the data for each show will be the shows city, the genres of the bands in the show, and the shows age-restrictions. The filters for these data points are located on the side bar.
The options for these filters will be configured in the admin panel. They will be added in a sort of "tags" fashion with you entering the name of the city/genre and clicking a + button to add it or clicking x on one of the filters to remove it. Filters added through this method will be used to enter data for the shows in the admin panel, and will be used in the front-end for users.

Submitting data to the database will be like using a google form, it will have questions for each of the pieces of data needed, and then you click submit and it populates the database.

Here is a rough mockup of the admin panel.

Somethings that may be challenging
  • Not all shows have the same number of bands
  • Shows have various different age restrictions and ticket handling, some are only 21+, some are all ages but minors are more expensive, some are all ages one price, some are online tickets some are more expensive at the door than in advance, etc. These will need to be solved.

Obviously there will be kinks to work out but this is the general idea. Looking for portfolios, resumes, and quotes for this project.

Thank you!
