I actually don't know him. He's the owner I think. But I'm just a regular user.
Its really laggy for me.
Whoops! I don't know why exactly, but here's the URL: http://www.loadsofcode.comIts really laggy for me.
It was implied.Uhh Forums are a TON of work dude! Are you saying they should build a forum from scratch?
Will on Loadsofcode actually did that. You are cray cray if you think that! By your logic, every developer should make their own search engine instead of using Google.

Most developers are lazy and don't want to waste time to create a forum from scratch when they can just use Xenforo. Anyway this project does seem a little amateur and I doubt it will take off... (maybe it could be a minecraft developer forum, considering most mc forums use xenforo anyway...)http://stackoverflow.com
It's a way of gaining respect from other developers and proving that you aren't a fraud. You can't run a forum for developers if you aren't one of them.
That is exactly my point. A forum that they actually built themselves wouldn't make them seem like an amateur project which is the vibe they are currently giving off. Most developers are lazy and don't want to waste time to create a forum from scratch when they can just use Xenforo. The vibe I think they are trying to give off is that it's a small niche community of developers just trying to help each other out. I don't think they are trying to be the next stack overflow. It's kind of like this forum. Comparing them to stack overflow is like comparing mcmarket to Amazon. That is exactly my point. I wasn't comparing them to stack overflow. It was meant to show how much better stack overflow looks with a website that they wrote themselves. Imagine if they used Xenforo. The vibe I think they are trying to give off is that it's a small niche community of developers just trying to help each other out. I totally agree with you here. It also gives me a view on their effort.I wasn't comparing them to stack overflow. It was meant to show how much better stack overflow looks with a website that they wrote themselves. Imagine if they used Xenforo.

I've given your suggestions to the owner. Right now, we're looking to increase our member base. We'll discuss making a custom forum application once we reach 1,000 members or so.I totally agree with you here. It also gives me a view on their effort.
