It's pretty obvious to me that you're hating on the fact he wants something done for free

And that's justified, 70% of this sub-forum is people saying they want a free vouch copy or something for a rep (which isn't even supposed to be tender on here). It's frustrating because designers have to go through all these posts and it's a waste of time. Above all, these people are often requesting things for their 'professional' services/websites - how can this be the case if you're not even willing to spare just $15-20 on graphics to make your business stand out.

It's not necessarily about what people request, it's just the notion that they expect to get everything for free.

There's no harm in asking.

You may think so, however, in this case, there actually is harm in asking. By asking, and actually getting what they ask for, they devalue the work done by people not doing this for free. Work should not be free, however, by allowing this to happen, it devalues the work done by those not doing it for free.

That made no sense whatsoever. You're paying for the higher quality of work. I'm happy to do simple things like this and signatures for free since the effort required is minimal.

His statement made sense to me and is true. The more it happens, the more viable it will seem for people to just get stuff for free. To a point where this entire sub is people just getting free stuff.

I mean it's good for the people with no rep that want something other than a funny reaction, but I get your point
