That's really overpriced for just text and a background around it...

The price I quoted is for a full logo with any and all details the user might want, which we could brainstorm if he added me. I did say probably because he didn’t include much information in his original description so I couldn’t really know if he wanted something in replacement of throne or not.

I said exact what I want and yes, it is so much overpriced for just a text...[DOUBLEPOST=1547341297][/DOUBLEPOST]

It's hilarious how incompetent people are on MC-Market when it comes to pricing. This is drawn art, which requires an insane amount of skill and years of time and money put into the work in order to create the example you wanted, meaning that $1000 for that would still be a fair price. Think about it this way. You are making a server logo and that art will attract clients and say the logo attracts two players to play on this Minecraft server, and eventually buy a $30 rank (which is a ridiculously low amount of money to be earning due to the branding of your server.) Let's just say this happens once a month. You will earn all of it back within less than 1.5 years, so $1000 would still be a fair price. This is just assuming your server is on the low end with low amounts of players. You can pay a low amount of money for something very mediocre because you are not confident with what you are trying to build I guess but if you are working on a very big project with a big plan you really need to step up your budget and the amount you invest, unless you aren't confident in your marketing/managing skills. $80 is literally a steal for Aelin's work, but unfortunately, 75% of this market has no idea how much anything is worth in the real world and have no idea what an investment is.

Edit: Sorry this is really poorly written because of how annoyed I got from your ignorant comment.

No 1000 would not be a fair price, don’t use that as an example again.
Why would it not be a fair price? At least give some sort of evidence to back it up. People have to charge everything underpriced on here because everyone here pays way lower than the actual price. Sure, I understand that maybe $1000 might be pushing it for a design of that quality and what its use will be for but my point was that $80 is underpriced for his sort of work because of how much it requires to learn what Aelin learned. Colour theory, what colours provide what emotion, renting/buying the software required, equipment, the proper education (which very likely does not apply in this case). Not only that, re selling that logo on merchandise could make it a profit by itself. My point was not that $1000 was how much Aelin should charge for his work, but the point was that for a Minecraft server logo, it would be fair for someone "at the top" to be selling a logo for that price or even higher.

Don't even bother saying "x amount of person charges this much." Here, people either know how much their work is worth because of their lack of experience, or they're forced to charge this much due to having lack of exposure to a professional environment.
I respect your opinion, but at the same time it would be great for you to back it up.

Thanks for reading, (if you did)

Because I could have someone where it is there sole job to do it for less, that’s why 1000 is too much. Don’t attempt to prove me wrong you won’t.
If you did actually read my post, you would understand that my point for "someone else charges way less" is

1. Anyone who charges a low price knows how much their work is worth, because it's very sub par for serious businesses looking for a profit.
2. This market is full of kids having no idea how much prices are. If someone spends years and years to make $5 for something that takes 10 hours, then why would anyone bother learning how to design?
3. Lack of experience. People experiment around with different programs here, and you really won't get the same quality with a lower budget.

The fact that you didn't even take into account what I said just proves you really don't take my points into any sort of consideration or you really just have a lack of understanding for the subject.

I already come to realize that here on MCM you won't get what you're worth for your Art for reasons I won't go into. So I only suggestion is to make sure you price right for the community on MCM and never do more work or put more time into the project based on the price they want to pay. In simple terms. Give them what they pay for and nothing more. If they want a top tier Logo, give them a Top Tier price. If they find someone offering Top Tier service for less than you. That is fine because that person will have to spend more time and have more projects to work on, to equal to the 1 job that you sell at a higher price because they sell for lower.

Example: 1st designer offering top tier services for low cost, takes 5 Jobs at $20 = $100 probably filled there week full of design time. So within that week, they made $100 give or take. The 2nd designer takes on 1 job that was $100 and since it is only 1 job it will take less time than the 1st designer, therefore, they were able to make the same money with spending less time and even have time or room to make more money. It's really that simple. Sell your time first and then the skill second. Because time is the real value that you can never get back.

Very good point, I can't do anything but agree with this.[DOUBLEPOST=1548105978][/DOUBLEPOST]Also really sorry YouTube for turning this thread into a "debate". It just really bothered me and I got heated.
