Long-term web host

For a while, I had my portfolio website hosted through a shady company. I'm pretty sure the owner was just using some work-equipment to offer hosting to people even though he wasn't allowed. The hosting company closed after like 2 months, but my CPanel and website never went down. I was hosted for almost a year from them, only ever noticing one instance of downtime. I am looking for a less-shady company that can offer the same thing. I really just want a host that I can set it and forget it. I'd like to be able to pay a fairly low-cost for quite a long hosting period. Ideally, I would like at least 6 months per pay period, but I can negotiate if the price is right. I just want a nice CPanel account that I can upload my portfolio site on, and make changes whenever I need.
