Long-Time Investor in SwiftMC Server

Hello,

I'm currently one of the owners of SwiftMC, a start-up minecraft server.
We're currently looking for an investor in our server in exchange for 50% of all revenue earned from the server.

Our server is, admittedly, small at the moment. Around 20 people are online during our peak hours. I'm a long-time Linux geek with skills managing servers, not a cash-flowing money machine able to fund my server.

We need an investor able to continually supply funds over the course of our server until we are able to support ourselves through subscription based ranks or purchases of one-time ranks.

We currently need funds for the following:

• Another server. We're currently running survival, creative, a PVP arena, and a boatload of plugins along with it. We need to separate our servers with bungeecord so the server doesn't crash every 6-12 hours.
• Paid-for-plugins. We're currently running entirely off of free plugins and it's starting to show. We have zero mini games besides PVP which is even bugged then. If we can just get 1 good mini game plugin and the map - maybe even a free map, we can get a flow of players that want to keep coming back.

That's all. Really, I don't want to make you have to spend a lot of money on the server because that's lowers profit margin, but I'm a member of the philosophy that you have to spend money to make money.

Now, this may seem like just a random person asking for money with not many players, but we have one redeeming quality. Our other owner owns a discord server with almost 4.5k active members. We post our updates there and we get a noticeable spike in activity after we release something new.

Through thoughtful investments, advertising in and out of the discord server, and proper server management from me I believe in full heart that this MC server and idea of my can be grown into a way for you to make your money back many times over.

Having a big Discord server and big belief is fine and all, but try to gain some reputation and become a well known member, then you'll experience way more successful. Good luck though :tup:

Well, by server donations that includes ranks, regular donations, kits, one-time purchases, etc.

There’s no real way I can legally guarantee a return on your money unless you have a lawyer draft a contract but that would cost more than you would even spend on the investment.

You would get your money back though.

We do have a source of income to pay back our investor if the server doesn’t go to plan, yes.

My other owner has a source of income from another server from another game. If something were to fail he’d be able to supply the funds to repay our investor.

That still doesn't sound very reassuring still. What happens if that goes under too?

How does it not? His has been going steady for months (since the beginning of November this year) and has made considerable profit off of it.

Regardless I think it make a potential investor more at-ease if the other owner came onto here and confirmed that he would be willing to compensate every penny to the investor. Otherwise it's just your word and that's not reassuring.
