The question is what quality the map is though. I charge $22/128 blocks, which isn't unreasonable by any means.

Are you crazy with that price? This price would be reasonable while making new custom objects for each biome and using like one custom biome / 256 blocks (new one).

5k x 5k map can be made in pricerange of 50$ - poor quality to 350$ extreme quality.

And you are saying that 860 (in this case) is reasonable?

Crazy? I've never been tested, but I don't believe so. Thank you for your concern though, I appreciate it ! To address your concern about prices though, there are several factors that go into them. Quality terrain, reputation, and market saturation all play a roll. The demand for quality designers is far greater than the supply. Coming from a perspective of basic economics, that puts the price very high. However, servers in need of terrain are willing to pay for quality work, so I don't have a shortage of clients. I try to make friends, not enemies, so I won't go any further ! I will say though that you've found your niche of business and I have mine. We have different styles and prices, but they both work. Good luck with your future projects!

Last time I checked, if someone was charing $500 for a 5k by 5k map and had one of the best reputations for their work, they wouldn't be hired if the client found an equally talented person that charges half of their asking price.

Again, thank you both for your concerns ! To address Lethal ,that's usually how economics works, yes. However, as stated, the supply of designers is far too small for the demand and what I produce is upscale quality compared to the much of the present market. My clients know what they are paying and what they are paying for; they are all extremely satisfied with my product.

In reference to padvender, I don't care to update my portfolio, as the rate of my business influx is too high to really need to. With that being said, much of what you're seeing is months old. In addition, I won't stoop as low as to bash another designers work, so I will do the respectable action and say that you produce great work!

lol I assure you that your idea of extreme quality is pretty bad if you think you would get something even half decent with 350$. Then again maybe my expectations are too high.
