I have been hosting a small server on my PC for the last month for me and a friend of mine to play but the server heats up my computer and also slows it down when I am using programs such as cinema 4D photoshop or PHPstorm so I want to put the server on a Minecraft host.

Is there any host out there for like $1/GB/month that is reliable? I am not looking for top notch stuff of course but as I said it is a private server for 2 people and under 10 plugins running spigot.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

1$ / GB is a no go, for budget quality you are looking for 3 - 5$ / gb. For premium quality 7 - 10$ / gb

The absolute cheapest I know of that gets decent reviews is plox.host. Though if I'm being honest, anything under $2.50 or $2.25/GB makes me question the sustainability.

Hmm alright, last time I got a host for MC was 4 years ago and that was a 16gb OVH dedi so I dont really know the prices.
I am not looking for nothing good quality of course, I think even low quality servers can handle 2 players with 7 plugins.
But still, everyone please post your prices per GB and I will see who I go with.[DOUBLEPOST=1471276950][/DOUBLEPOST]
Plox.host give you a $1.50/gb.
That looks good, thank you :)
I will wait until tomorrow so there is more replies here then I will purchase a host.

Very good "rules of thumb" as anything less usually doesn't net you viable servicing 99% of time.

You guessed it, inflations on wages, utilities, etc all lead to higher pricing now of days for the similar servicing.

2.50 /GB is fine with me too. As I said I am not aware of the normal prices with minecraft hosting. If you know any host that is reliable enough for what I need please do mention.

I'd like to add, of "reliable" I mean my server is safe and wont suddenly get deleted.

Well, assuming you're alright with me self advertising... I own TigerNode, we've been running for a few months and are already profiting. For peace of mind, should anything terrible happen to all our clients, we have enough funds set aside to run for 6 months. In other words, we won't be shutting down anytime soon. :p Our Minecraft services are just $3/GB, and upon request you can receive free web hosting.

Pricing only went down due to overpopulation of minecraft service providers. Back in the day a GB would cost 10 - 15 euro.

AkNode.com

I run a build and setup team, and I trust these guys with all my servers. $2/GB, and when I first heard that, I was scared. But their servers are amazing and same with their support.
