Looking for a Developer

Client requested us to decompile a seemingly cracked program and then add authorization and licensing to it.
When we offered an alternate solution they started asking us many questions and doubting that our method wouldn't work. He even asked someone else (seemingly another developer) who said our method would never work but then when we explained in more detail what we are doing, the dev retracted his statement and started saying stuff like "You can't multi thread in java!".
Please consider the fact that we are developers who have experience doing stuff and there is always a different solution which you may never have heard of, but that doesn't mean it is wrong.
