I am looking for a server admin at the moment.

We are a server that has had 5700+ all time players, and 4000 of which have joined in the past 4 months. Our discord has 350 members and The server has only had one gamemode, however, it's expanding into a network now and we're looking for an admin to run our factions server.

The factions server is an RPG styled 1.16 server. It's a throwback to older factions servers where players would have to get involved in every aspect of play such as mining, fishing and farming, but also it somewhat gives players a lot of liberty as there's a free store where they can buy almost all of the game's items for free.

Now the server opens on April 22nd, and I have a really difficult list of tasks that need to be done. The tasks are sometimes really easy, however, at other times, can be really hard like going over every plugin to change the colors of the messages, but I'd pay good money for those to be done. Everything has to be done by the 20th (or 21st) or the server will have to delay it's opening which would be bad.

At the moment, if you get accepted, you need to know you have to do what's on our task board and not what's out of it. If you have any ideas, you'd have to run them by me or other staff.

The pay would be $1 per task/$2-9 per long task + $2-5 bonus for maintaining the server at the end of each week. If you're really good, then you'd get a raise.

Requirements:
  1. You must always run everything at all times, and take responsibility for everything that happens on the server. You must be prepared for everything that could happen; laggers, hackers, exploiters, crashers and backdoorers could all come on the server and you would have to be prepared to face them. Backdoorers shouldnt be around though, but you must always be prepared.
  2. You must know how to keep the player counts up. We'll bring in players, but your job is to keep everyone together. Profits & the player experience both matter, but your job is to keep players engaged and online. You shouldn't disturb players or make them want to leave. If someone breaks a rule, you'll have to try and not to ban them, but to reprimand them for it and then give them a light punishment.
  3. Must have been staff in a server that averaged 5+ players before
  4. Must be mature. We don't want trolls, joke-arounds, or neo-nazis running the project.
  5. You must understand the vision & marketing of the server. We want to be a big server, and we want someone who understands the appeal (which you would when you check it out). There are a lot of kids on the server so you should know not to swear, or offend anyone in anyway, etc. The experience is the top priority, but the player count is only 2nd to it.
  6. Keeping players happy is important too. Remember, the players are always right. You must always appeal to the players unless the player is breaking a really important rule. If a player comes in and is like "this server sucks, i'm going to go", you must still try to appeal to him. However, you should know where to draw the line. You shouldn't abuse your powers to help a player get started, giving a player $100K as a kickstart is nice but otherwise it's too much.
  7. A lot of free time during this and the upcoming week, you won't spend more than 1-2 hours unless you're desperate to put work in which would be appreciated.
  8. You must have been a server owner before. You must know how configs, etc all work. How most plugins work. This is the most crucial part.
  9. And finally, you must understand the basics of being staff. The server's economy is weird: it's similar to the default minecraft economy, but 100m makes you a top player, and prot 20 is the highest gear on the server even though something a little higher might be there. A good understanding on how to keep the community engaged is required, too.
This is a long read, but if you can meet all the requirements, then message me. Some of this will be sounding weird, but we prioritize the player count over almost everything.

Optional:
  1. An expertise in minecraft commands
  2. A basic/advanced understand of java coding
  3. A good building in 1.16 ability (send me images if you're good at this stuff)
  4. Good discord management skills

Message me on here or give me your discord, but I'd rather message on here so we can get done with the basics.

Interested depending on the tasks.
