Hey, my name is mailpost and I have been playing minecraft since early 2011 before factions was even a thing. Through out my whole span playing minecraft I have started up my own servers but they have never been major but I have been a manager for many major servers such as CrankedMC which hit around 1k players SOTW. I have a lot of experience that way you know if you're interested I am not dumb.

Probably either a HCF or Factions game mode
Established server - Like mentioned will have Logo, Plugins, etc just need to fix stuff up i'm guessing
Youtubers - Will be getting youtuber to re-upload trailer / play

Budget towards server > Around 100
Plans > I can invest more money into the server but right now I have a established server that has caught my attention
Other businesses or services I run > FlixCheats - Fortnite Cheats - Sold $500+ worth of stuff

Same amount they are going to get from server revenue on release and I don't want to take all the money and have a higher % then someone I can see how that can be a thing but not my type so 50% of my investment.[DOUBLEPOST=1578462494][/DOUBLEPOST]So if I wanted to invest $100 I would expect the other to invest a total of around $100

That’s if i’m making a whole server and the $100 was towards the established part, advertisements like getting youtubers etc I already have it planned out and more money to take care of all that

There is a problem with this. The problem is $100 isn't going to get you anywhere. It's just not nowadays. Even the $200 you're talking about might take care of hosting and some premium plugins. You have to think to make that money back you need players and to get players you need advertisements, buycraft/website, youtubers, builds, etc. Builds alone probably cost around $200. So the chances of someone making their money back on this is very very very low.

That's why it's worthwhile to learn how to use Java for Minecraft plugins, then sure you still need premium plugins, but no developer costs, and you can custom make your own plugins. Also, buycraft is cheap, and having a website is also very cheap if you play your cards right and don't go after Xenforo right away.[DOUBLEPOST=1578548625][/DOUBLEPOST]

It depends on the server size that you want to have. Not only that, but if you know Java then costs go way down for developers, websites and buycraft aren't that expensive, builds should really be but that does depend on the server type. $1k-$5k is quite outrageous if your just looking for a small 15-20 person server to start. Spending $5k is morel like looking for a solid 80+ player base.

I’m calling bull on the $1-5k, I’m a spigot developer and I worked by myself (no other developers), and I made a server. I spent no money on advertising (about 50-60$ on the server in total). It had 50+ players on release, I advertised a 100$ payout (which I indeed paid out). The server made 300$ it was open for 6 days before I shut it down. So it basically comes down to your skill set, if your a useless fuck that can’t do shit, it’s going to be expensive as fuck.

Loads of experience, played MC for years and owned 2 successful servers. Both servers had about the same budget as what your using and made 10x the profit. I am most likely your best option
