Hello MCM,
I have 1.12 spigot server, I would like to put my worlds in 1.8 blocks, It's means that the generation of the world won't be 1.12 (as the spigot) will be 1.8.

I want to use this for the nether and end principally, because when people connect with 1.8 in the server and goes to end or nether world they can't see all blocks.

Thanks for read!

Not sure if there's a plugin to do that currently. Might need an actual mod client for something like that. I believe you should be able to go to the nether or end jut fine in 1.8.9 - 1.15

Just generate the world on a 1.8.9 jar. If you need 1.12 jar for production use that.
But If I do that when the new world is loaded it will update to 1.12 right? I mean i dont want that the world will update to 1.12

Only new chunks will use the new generation. Just use a plugin such as WorldBorder and pre-gen the world.

Just a heads up, if you do generate the world on a 1.8 server and pre-gen it, the world file will be pretty large.

I think I may have a solution for you, and it's actually quite easy... Just use the newest MC version.

what do you mean? just remove 1.8 to 1.11 versions?
No, this guy is just trolling you, sorry to say... His comment adds nothing to this conversation and he's telling you to stop supporting 1.8 basically.

Regarding your problem, if you have the money you'll probably be able to buy a custom jar which is just a 1.8 world gen code slapped into a 1.12.2 server jar. Your only other option would be to pay someone to make a custom world generator that generates 1.8 worlds, or as others have said pre-generate your chunks and set the worldborder.
