I am currently looking for a person who just has extra space off of their VPS/Dedi that I can use for my own personal minecraft server. I wouldn't mind paying you a portion of how much resources I need. If you're able to do this for me please comment or p/m..

PS.. I don't really like going through with Minecraft Hostings.. I will pay you through paypal money..

Hey there,

Just wondering why you don't prefer game server hosts and prefer to be hosted on a 'private' server. There are hosts here that accept PayPal, including us - and hosts often have better support than a dedi owner would, as you would likely be on your own to fix issues (technical-side) with one.

Your are being unprofessional marketing yourself when the customer clearly requested personal servicing.

His money not yours.

I was stating a question...

Now let's not make this requesting thread look bad :)

But you also threw yourself in the mix.

Also I just remembered someone is/was leasing space from their HIGH power dedi. @OP If you would like I can contact this person to see if he still need help selling off part of his machine.

What's your timeframe? I'm looking at leasing Xeon E3-1230v2 with a fat SSD on the Kansas City Interchange in about 2 weeks. I've been researching the performance characteristics of Minecraft servers and this has lead me to focus on CPUs with higher single threaded benchmarks instead of how much memory can be crammed into one machine. I'm still going to put together a big server farm at some point, but right now I want I want something where I can host a bunch of live streamers with a 10 chunk viewing radius and a ton of entities without lagging. You're looking at 8 GB RAM and a dedicated IPv4 address with mail and webserver management for your domain for under $20/month. By under, I mean 1) I'm still shopping so the location, price and specs could change, and 2) I'm operating on a nonprofit basis so I might be able to offer capacity at below market value if your use case fits into the organization's mission.
