Not a software Developer but network engineer here, Surely you could just use something like PuTTy or termius? what will do something extremely similar and RDC to coonect if you want a GUI?

But also secuirty could be a massive problem as depending on the software developer they might not put the correct security protocols or even any depending what you ask for.
