Looking for an operations manager for an untitled project.

Hi there.

I am searching for an operations manager who can actively manage and run an untitled project. Upon joining, more information will be given regarding the server and our project. As of this time, all I can publicly comment on is the fact that it's a 1:1 scale recreation of a popular landmark, and has a budget of $16,700.


What your role will involve

• Handling all Contractors and Staff -

You will work with our builder and (mainly) developers and artists who will be actively employed in part time contracts with our business entity. You must work with the contractors in recognizing and enforcing a quality standard, and sending all finished work to myself for final review. You will also be tasked with budgeting (see below) and paying contractors and employees from the project's central PayPal account.

• Budgeting

You are also in charge of ensuring that our budget of $16,700 dollars is evenly spent among all needed items. You will work with actively budgeting the project and ensuring that everybody is paid from the company's PayPal account. You will create invoices, track expenses, and advise me on what to purchase for the good of the project. Helpful if you can recommend high quality developers and artists in the Minecraft community.

• Partnerships and Legal Inquiries

You will also work with hosts, Youtubers, as well as lawyers (nice ones) in resolving partnership and legal issues. More information when you inquire for a position with us.


What I expect from you

• Experience with managing large-scale projects.
• Experience with basic command line usage. Our servers run Ubuntu and you will need to understand how to use this to an extent which will allow you to access the files and console.
• Must be committed, motivated, dedicated and willing to work without having to be asked to.
• Must not be easily frustrated or angered.
• Good knowledge of how servers and networks work. Some experience with Java development will be a good bonus (not required however).
• Aged 17 or above.
• A creative mind for new, custom content.
• Ability to work independently.

Most likely not a joke and probably on a minecraft marketplace as it involves 1:1 minecraft recreation from what I can gather.

"M" is likely a placeholder, if that is what you mean.

I don't think so, if it was there wouldn't really need to be a mention that they are not associated with Disney. On top of that, saying

doesn't do much good if you don't specify the actual name of the project

If I read your post correctly, you're saying that they wouldn't need to state their license if that's a placeholder.

Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial-NoDerivatives basically means people can copy, distribute, display or perform the project but can't take credit for it, commercialise it or change it. I assume that "M" is a placeholder for the actual company name. They likely had to state it.

Project M is indeed a placeholder while we continue to file the required trademarks and establish our LLC. This takes a few weeks, so we are using Project M for now.
