Hi MCM!

It's that time again when I ask you guys what improvements should I add to my new website i've been working on for a while. I am slowly working on the portfolio side of things, and the reviews site doesn't have an updated top bar but that's small changes to get done at some point.

https://jasmeowthecat.lgbt

It's had a complete rehaul from the old one, with so many old assets removed and no longer needed, cleaned up unneeded mess and some other optimisations.

Any questions, let me know. I am looking to expand this one quite a bit.

I actually quite enjoy this webpage, there are a few things I'd alter here and there but it's definitely not a bad page for a freelancer.

The navigation bar on the top would look a lot better with outlined logos as opposed to bold ones in my opinion as at the moment it's kind of clustered in the center.

On the services page, the fiverr logo looks a bit low quality - which is probably because I'm using chrome but that's possibly something you could figure out.

But yeah, in general, this is a pretty dope-looking site for sure!

It looks really cool just 1 thing I can think of changing is the resolution of some of the images like the Fiverr one.

Remove the pride footer and move it to a seperate page, like bad having it on the bottom like that. Goes for any footer like that though :)

Too monochromatic imo. Add some other colors in besides pink. Maybe the blue from the flag would pair well. It's just a lot of pink right now.

Alignment could use some tweaking on smaller screen resolutions.

You have a hero and then two different sections with different colored backgrounds, then finally the footer with a pixel art background. Imo I think these flash. The style changes too much from top to bottom. I would match the stats section (or whatever you might call it ) to the sky color of the pixel art. It would make it look more uniform.

However, I think the pixel art is too much of a contrast from the hero background; as that background plus the image seems to be of the hand-drawn/illustrated style.

I like the nav menu on mobile, but I think spacing could be tweaked. They are squished without much breathing room, especially bad from a UX view.

The waves used also need tweaking as on mobile it has overflow.

As I said before, the style isn't uniform and often changes which gives it an amateur-esque look.

I'd inspect it and look at how clean everything is written but I'm currently limited to my phone :c
Also partially looks like it was constructed with Mobirise.

Overall, I think it's pretty neat and very personalized. I'd say you could purchase something similar on Fiverr or another freelance marketplace at around $10-$25 depending on a few things.

Thank you for the review and taking the time to look into it <3 It was made in Mobirise so I do want to get the website designed at some point on Fiverr or somewhere else so I can get it done correctly on mobiles and screen resolutions.

I quite like the site. But as others have mentioned - I do feel the flag in my face on every page is a bit much - maybe make it a little smaller and position in on the left or right. Nothing wrong with the statement and fully support it - it's just to "in your face" for my liking.

A LOT of pink - but that's fine :)

think you could go more in to detail on the actual systems, what was done, etc. If I'm hiring someone in to look after my systems I need to know you know what you are doing (i.e. server implementation, version control, update management, pm tools used to manage processes etc.

Finally - I would re-word this in the T*C's:
My team can read all tickets opened by you and can answer your questions, but are under strict discipline to not connect to your systems, modify any assets or cause disruption and discomfort unless instructed otherwise.

It sounds like the team are not allowed access to cause issues - UNLESS instructed otherwise....Implies you might tell them to go and cause issues :D

All in a nice website - but could do with more detailed content. Oh - And I would remove the picture of you throwing around money on the "contact Me" page - not professional :)

First not sure if its on my side but load time is taking forever
It has a lengthy paint time for mobile screens, anything above a mediumish breakpoint doesn't take as long. GTmetrix (what I use for performance testing) stated it took too long to respond.

To OP:
I would look at having it redone without mobi as the framework as well as optimizing it for mobile. If you need to talk further about how to do this, what you're looking for, etc, send me a message!
I can also help with the web hosting aspect of performance.
