So just to preface, I haven't been involved in the Minecraft community since 2012. Due to the current state of things, I decided to return to the server hosting scene to create a network that is accessible to everyone.
To do this, I have bootstrapped a Bungee network composed of 14 servers and one proxy on one of my dedicated servers. The server is already paid for in full for personal projects, so I'm not planning on accepting donations unless the network outgrows the server, (at which point a donation scheme may be considered.)
Now since I haven't been in the scene in 8 years and realize I might not have everything presentation-ready by today's standards, the server is being staged in a closed beta until it is ready to go live.
Anyway, I am looking for builders, mods, admins, and game masters to join the project. Mostly mods and admins as 1) I know how toxic the community is (well, at least how it was in 2012) and since this won't be my day job, I will need help keeping nastiness out of the server and 2) I haven't hosted a server since 2012 so while I know the in's and out's, I am going in blind with newer versions....
Roles:
Builder - pretty self explanatory. If you like building but don't really care for all the other nonsense, this is the position for you. Worldedit experience greatly appreciated
Mod - you will be responsible for moderating user-generated content. You can pick which servers you want to moderate or be a global mod. Global mods will be considered a higher rank as they will have cross-server permissions. Global mods may also be promoted to admin if they are interested.
Admin - besides mod responsibilities, take on as much or little responsibility as you want, as long as you are helping out. If you don't know what a mod is or does, you need not apply for this position.
Game Master - Essentially you will be an admin for a custom world. I don't want to make a habit of having too many Game Masters that do not otherwise hold another staff role, but if you know a gamemode or playstyle really well and think it would make for a good multiplayer server, let me know.
