I've been watching a lot of big servers die out recently because of the larger servers taking all the players. I've been talking to quite a few people and theres a lot of people out there who miss the smaller 100ish player count servers that specialise in 1 or 2 game modes. Sure, there are servers out there with smallish player bases but they've started heading in the direction of growth, when they don't have too many players. Unfortunately this just kills the server. There are lots of small servers out there, but they just don't seem to take off, I believe if you do it right, you have a shot at being successful.
Basically I'm looking for somebody to partner with in creating a server, my aim is to grow the server to a healthy player base, the server will specialise in 1, maybe 2 game modes (with a hub of course). A server with 1 game mode but multiple variations of that game mode is a possibility too.
I have years of prior knowledge on how to setup a server, I also have knowledge on setting up and running websites which would be handy in running a community server. I'm 17, mature and I have plenty of ideas on how to make the server unique.
I'm looking for somebody who:
- Has some prior knowledge about server setup and running a server
- Preferably over 14
- Preferably help fund the server (for example 50% of the server)
- Knows what they're doing when it comes to this kind of thing
- Can be regularly active and contribute to setting the server(s) up
If anybody is interested please let me know, don't be afraid to ask questions, I'm also open to any ideas if anybody has any.
