Though it isn't paid, I would highly recommend these positions to anyone looking to gain experience in these fields. The road to paid positions starts by volunteering and gaining experience to put into a portfolio that later counts for a lot when applying for paid jobs in similar fields.

I am an admin for [Censored] and I can tell you that one of my favorite aspects of being part of the team is the wonderful people that I get to work with. We not only help our customers in a professional environment but we are also very fun people to work with as well. For me, that cancels out the "negative" of not being paid. In fact, you really can gain a lot of experience working with customers from being on our team. It is a very good skill to have on the road to a paid position.
