For about a year, I've been working on a big server project. It's called Oranis.
I've done more work than you could imagine for this server. Part of why it has taken so long is because there have been very few people contributing to this project. But it's been totally worth it.. The server is not finished yet, but I'm incredibly proud of our plan/direction of the server and proud of the work that has been done so far.
I'm about ready to start building a community for the server. So I'm looking to find the right people for my staff team. I need dedicated, skilled and responsible staff members.
What staff positions do I need to have filled?

So what is Oranis and what makes it such an amazing project?
Oranis isn't just a server, it's an entire world. We're trying to express the unlimited potential of Minecraft in one single server. We're doing this by unifying the most popular gamemodes and improving/modifying them to work together efficiently and effectively.
I'm currently creating a 30k x 40k custom world with realistic terrain and topography. It has 7 continents (one of which is an underwater continent). 1/4th of the world is finished and ready for use.
This world will support pvp and raiding in the wilderness, economy and peaceful survival in the cities and towns, gamemodes based in arenas in the cities or in parts of the world,

But making a custom world is just the foundation of this project - there's a lot more to the world of Oranis
Oranis is a server that will have everything you love about Minecraft and much more. Survival, Economy, Raiding, PvP, Wars, Adventures, Quests, Mini Games and Custom Gamemodes. And forget the traditional bungeecord hub servers. This is an all-in-one server.
We're going back to what minecraft is REALLY about. Creativity, Challenge, Adventure and Community. Except we're improving these things dramatically and revolutionizing the way people play on minecraft servers
There is an interactive story line to keep players interested
The story is split up through different seasons. There will be massive events taking place in different places or cities in the world. Players can participate in such events like invasions, wars, natural disasters, and more. You can choose one of 3 primary factions to fight for, each faction has an influence on the story line. The story will change in favor of the top faction of the season. Players can create clans and pledge their loyalty to one of theses 3 factions. These factions are Light, Dark and Balance.

Exploration has never been more exciting
The world is filled with many different structures, which are filled with loot and guarded by dangerous enemies. Similar to the modpack Hexxit, you can find battle towers, castles, fortresses, dungeons and labyrinths. Raid the structures to find custom weapons and armor!

Find spectacular towns and cities, or create your own!
Where you can live peacefully, create a shop and take advantage of the economy. Players can also create their own towns and eventually transform them in to cities. This isn't towny though. It works differently, but effectively.

Cities have tons of different things to do. You don't just have to make money and rent a place. It's not all about economy, it's about fun distractions and diversions. There will be Casinos, tons of places for Role Playing, Quest NPC's, Parkour courses, plenty of shops, places to hangout and more.
I need staff members that will help maintain these cities and their communities, and also keep them active and entertained with different events (like drop parties, concerts with live-stream music, video or streaming events, anything you can think of!)

Custom Weapons and Armor
New weapons and armor require new combat styles, effectively changing the meta of minecraft pvp. No mods required, just a custom texturepack (which is automatically downloaded). We're adding multiple sets to the game, and special edition sets that can only be earned by completing quests and participating in mass events that correlate to the quests and storylines.
And we've added a patch to restore 1.8 pvp. The server is running on 1.12 and 1.13, but we've fixed pvp mechanics so they work just as they did in 1.8 or before.

Credit for the textures and designs go to SpectralMark, an admin and designer for Oranis.

Oranis has the SlimeFun plugin. It adds tons of new gadgets, tools, materials and more. It's almost like Tekkit or FTB!

This is the North West region of the map. Only a quarter of the entire world that's being developed. Complete with custom biomes, unique terrain you wont see anywhere else, custom oceans and volcanoes with a lava cave system. There's much much more to just this section of the world.. This quarter of the map is 15k x 20k
