Seriously though, google is your friend. Personally, I'd recommend not starting with Java, and instead learn a simpler language to understand the basics of programming (such as Python).

However, if you're truly set on starting with Java, there's some fantastic series on youtube that can help you out. If that's not your style, there's surely some good written guides on getting started with Java. You can also find Spigot tutorials on youtube, most of which are reasonably decent as long as they aren't too old.

Start with learning Java, you can not learn the Spigot API and utilize it fully without knowing the language that it uses. If you have some spare change head over to udemy and get a course. Most of these courses come with communities where you can find "programming-buddies" with whom you can learn together. If you do not have money then head over to youtube, there are a lot of tutorials on Java there aswell. If you have made the decision that you want to be a developer then you will need extreme patience and drive to keep learning. The most important is that you learn something or atleast code something every single day, make a habit of that. It does not have to be much, but do something.

Thanks for your amazing guides, many of developers fail learning launguages because loss of patient and and they just end up with giving up. I was planning to buy a udemy course as someone suggested me in PMs :)[DOUBLEPOST=1637137546][/DOUBLEPOST]

I actually used the blueprints in unreal engine to get a better understanding and then I would look at open source plugins and other plugins made to try and understand their build up.

Now I'm learning java and focusing the basics. And compared to me trying to learn java 6 years ago and now, I feel like I'm having a easier time at it.

So I would say. Focus on java of course, but if something is bugging your brains out. Try and find something else, that might help you understand java better!

I'm no expert. But just sharing my experience, learning from a book I bought at age 10 13 years ago

Learning something like a language is different for everyone - some people like reading through a textbook, some people can work with just documentation and googling, however personally when I was learning, I found it so helpful to have someone help me through it.

For that reason, I purchased this course by stxphen for a pretty reasonable price (literally like $15) and it was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made, so I recommend you at least check it out.
Again, this type of learning isn't for everyone, but this is just what I personally used :p

Good luck!
