My name is Raspberry_Fox and I am the sole owner of the brand new Minecraft server I am wanting to recruit for a partner (i.e., co-owner/manager) to help fund the server and steer its direction. Therefore I am requesting of anyone with sincerity and seriousness to apply for this position to work with me as my partner on the server that I own. In exchange for the applicant’s dedication and loyalty, whatever the server makes in financial profit in the future they will get exactly half of what I get. Additionally, as my partner the applicant will have limited access to the main console and equal half of the creative input of the server. I am also asking for the applicant to help with the monthly running costs, which is exactly the same as what I pay. With your financial input and my financial input we can get at least 30 players at one time....but first:
About me
I am a mature adult, male, and live in the UK. I am also an high functioning Aspie so communication does not come naturally to me. My skills are cooking and martial arts, and I greatly enjoy Minecraft so as long as I don’t do it too much (something to do with my dopamine levels). I do not work at the moment because of my autism, so I have a lot of time to do the things I like doing. I have played Minecraft mainly on the xboxone for years and even run a server on there, and only recently got into the server side of things on the PC. After spending some money buying a hosted plan, I have spent months learning how to set up a Minecraft server with almost no practical help from anyone else. I am very methodical and logical and like to be organised, but I am not strict or authoritarian.
About my Minecraft server and hosting plan.
My server is at least a year old but I am working on a new 1.13 map. It will be a long while before 1.14 is available so there’s no reset just yet . I have a small world spawn that is nice and cute and protected, with a limited items adminshop, but the whole map is not yet chunk-loaded in. I have an Enjin website, but not paid, and I also have a basic advertising and info website, in addition to a Youtube channel. I have around 20 plugins already set up, and they may need some customisation. Also I have a discord channel for the server.
The server’s theme is community and so there’s a plugin for land claims, player warps, McMMMO, and randomteleport. I removed the jobs plugin as I would rather have an organic economy where players can trade with one another instead. The main permissions plugin is Luckperms – which is easy to use – and I have at present only the member rank set up. I also removed Slimefun4 and installed Dynmap - but I could reinstall Slimefun later. Votifier not yet installed. Voter-Chest plugin (voter-rewards) not yet installled. Cosmetic plugins will be added in due time.
No player ranks as such are set although I have them worked out on my desktop. I have donator ranks in mind: stone, iron, gold, diamond or VIP1 and VIP2, etc, including custom donator rank. Staff hierarchy: owner, admin, supervisor, mod, trainee, helper.
The server will have to be EULA. As it is survival there will be no flying except for staff – this is to keep down lag. The server is large biomes and has a boundary of around 5000x4 which should be enough for a nice close community, until expansion is required. I have Nether and End on reset every couple of months.
Here’s my server rules:
· Killing or attacking a player with the intent to cause distress is not allowed.
· No unauthorised modifications.
· No hacks or exploits (includes x-ray) or cheating allowed.
· Offensive content or structures will be demolished.
· Do not advertise unless it directly relates to the server.
· Only have one account per player.
· Do not spam chat or send links to porn sites or other graphic content. Use English language in chat only.
· Verbal abuse to staff and other players will not be tolerated.
· Do not impersonate another player or another member of staff.
As it stands the server is hosted with Nitrousnetworks (UK). I currently pay £4 per month and more next month - double that amount - so the limit is 16 players and will double next month, so its only just over 1Gig (2Gig or 3Gig would be ideal) or 1024MB RAM at present. Nitrousnetworks has good customer service and almost no downtime. The server operates using Nitropanel, which has been applauded for its simplicity and ease of use.
My vision for the server
Truth be told my vision for the server is not as lofty as others might be. I don’t play Minecraft to make money – I play because for the love of the game. I would be happy with a loyal base of 30 players, and hopefully from that base players will want to financially support the server because they want to be part of the community. If it expands then so be it. If it doesn’t then I will be happy with that too. When I was hosting a Minecraft server on the xboxone a few years ago I enjoyed the community spirit - no amount of money can replace that. For a small server community is the foundation and if players contribute to the running costs then I will ensure they get value for money.
If you decide to accept my offer to work with me as a partner you will have control over your own vision, so as long as we meet the monthly running costs and you don’t destroy the community, you have your vision and hopefully we will meet in the middle somewhere.
