Looking for someone to teach me scoreboards

Hey MCM Developers so I have used scoreboards in the past but just making simple ones that get a players name and stuff like that but I'm wanting to know the proper way to do scoreboards because I want to make a scoreboard that auto updates its self and things like that so if someone would be willing to teach me scoreboards would be amazing thank you.
