My name is Rian but I've gone by the alias Skittleyy for most of my online life, I've been part of this community before working with a friend to sell Build commissions before the partnership fell through a few months ago and now I'm back, wanting to start afresh.
I'll be blunt, I need the dollars. We all do, so that's nothing special. I have a job irl but I'm moving to university next month 4 hours from home and I have to leave it next week. I'm unsure if I'll secure a job when I get there so I'm taking this precautionary measure.
I've always loved the idea of freelance, I'm a people's person so I love getting involved with new clients and getting the product that they want (in most of my experiences that's been little kids and their LEGO creations - my job is hosting LEGO workshops). But the problem is I'm not sure where my strongest talent lies
I want to work part time in commissions. I'm not looking for a job as a builder - the standard of competition is too high for me to reach as of right now and I wouldn't be the best with pricing. I've wondered if there was such thing as a Map Designer who works with build teams and is a liaison with the client. I'm simply looking for suggestions on what I can do to make some extra money for myself. I am not looking for job offers like this. Id be happy to answer your questions if you've got any that might help me to find a job that suits me. They'd be very much appreciated. Thanks for reading,
