Lower ad prices

Demand has fallen, I have been the only person using stickies in plugins fr almost a month now. Clearly, the demand is just me.

This suggestion is for more than just the plugin section, the site has died drastically since the last price increase for ads. It should be readjusted.

While I get where your coming from, because you have the demand at that price I don't see a reason why Mick would lower it. Only way I see him doing it is if you stop buying the slots and no one buys it at the current price, and then he will be forced to lower it to get you back buying the slots. Thats just my view on it anyway, hope this helps get your ad prices down.

Demand has fallen because it's impossible to get sticky in the Plugins section. My ad has been queued since April and no sign of it being close to getting sticky anytime soon

Seems like an advertisement was stuck in the wrong state - I've corrected this and the owner of the next one in the queue should receive an invoice when the cron next runs.

This does happen from time to time so I wouldn't rush to make that assumption that there's no demand other than you.

Thanks for fixing that Harry, I had expected that this may be the case as I was confident that there is a huge amount of demand in the section.

Prices of ads are readjusted every few months (generally around the time of announcements), and they're done based on the demand that the stickies have, not necessarily the number of views or clicks that an ad will get. In each section, the value of a click varies significantly so that's not a great way to go about deciding on prices. Our XF2 ads system has been custom built to have a bidding system and will show detailed analytics which I'm sure you'll like.

We won't be doing an adjustment for ad prices just yet considering how recently we changed them.
