I know that this has been suggested once/multiple times before, but here's why I think the bump cooldown should be reduced.

Basically, you used to were always able to bump your thread once a day and it did not matter what time you did it. Now, you have to wait for the exact time to come when you have done it the day before (depending on if you are supreme 4 hours less).

My suggestion is to change the cooldown to every 15 hours at minimum, that may not sound like a lot, but still, it would be very hard to "up" your thread twice a day, if not almost impossible.

I doubt anyone could manage to bump the thread at 2 AM and then again at 5 PM every single day. No one would be able to do that and no one would probably do that. And even if, someone would be able to do this, it's a good reward for their consistency. IMO this wouldn't be "op" as some would call it.

It would just be like it used to use be always been when you were able to bump your thread every new day and it didn't matter what time it was - I don't want to always wait for the exact time to come when I bumped it the day before.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Before the "up thread" feature was implemented, you could only bump your thread "once per 24 hours".
So if you bumped your thread at 8pm on Thursday and 8am on Friday, while technically it's a new day, 24 hours had not passed and you would be warned.

alright, I didn't know that, however, I don't see where the problem is when bumping your thread at 8 PM and then again at 11 AM - as long as you bump it ONCE a day it should be fine right?

Obviously, with this system you will (and are currently) able to "up" twice a day, but it would still be very hard to manage, as I have already mentioned in the OP. I do not see any cons in this, only pros. Could you maybe tell me why this is such a big deal? (as you have been on mcm way longer than me)

ya, I noticed it:

nonetheless, I still think that's too much.
If it was any less, the front page of every section would be constantly getting spammed by bumped threads.
18 hours is fine as it is.
If you can't deal with that, buy a sticky and spend a week straight on the front page.

I don't think that the front page would get spammed this way, most of the people wouldn't even be able to bump their threads 2 times a day anyway - I'm just thinking about flexibility here. But again, I'm just thinking it would be like it used to be when there wasn't this "up thread" button, and it was never a problem back then either (except the people bumping their threads every 2 hours).

Buy a sticky thread? That certainly is not a permanent solution, I can deal with it, I'd just rather prefer to be able to bump a thread every new day, not always having to check back once in a while to see how many hours/minutes/seconds I have left.
