Macbook Air or Windows laptop

Hello and welcome to my thread..

I have been thinking a lot lately about getting the MacBook Air with the M1 chip, 8gb ram and 256gb storage.

However it keeps popping up in my head that I can get a windows laptop with probably better specs at or around the same price.

I was wondering if anyone else has a better suggestion?

I am going to be Video Editing, Photo Editing, etc.

My budget is $1,000USD-$1,200USD (Taxes included)

Im using myself a MacBook Air . And in my opinion the software is alot better with editing and schoolwork.

I would go with mac, it is good for video editing. Also might want to buy final cut pro. I use it and it's good.

Macbooks are killer for school work/regular work. As long as you don't care about gaming, I'd recommend investing in a good mac.

What are you currently familiar with?

Because remember if you switch, there's a learning curve; going from Mac to Windows and vice versa. If you don't want that learning curve, or don't have the time for it, stick with what you're already familiar with.

MacBook Air with the M1 chip would be a good choice for battery, performance and sound (it is super quiet) !
